Trails, Moments, and the Lens – May 24, 2025
By Keith Dennis Brewer
There’s nothing quite like hitting the off-road trails and letting the day take you wherever it wants. The sound of engines echoing through the trees, the rough terrain under the tires, and the untouched beauty of New Brunswick’s backcountry—it all creates the kind of day that lingers in your bones long after the ride is over.
May 24, 2025, was one of those days.
We set out without a plan, just a direction and a desire to be out there. The trails led us deep into the wild, through parts unknown—remote and rugged and perfect. As the day rolled on, the good times turned into something more. They became moments worth remembering, the kind that seem to slow down time.
That energy, that freedom, and that raw sense of being alive translated directly into the photos I took. Every shot that day came from simply being present—nothing posed, nothing forced. Just nature, machines, and real moments captured through the lens. It turned out to be some of my best photography to date.
The night ended at the Barton Hut, surrounded by more good people—faces I didn’t manage to photograph, but truly wish I had. Some memories stay in the mind, even if they don’t make it onto the memory card.
These photos are a reflection of that day. The dirt, the light, the stillness between the noise. Proof that great times lead to great moments—and sometimes, if you’re lucky, those moments become something you can hold onto forever.
